Last weekend

Chenna, help! My humans are turning into your human! Last weekend they went away for four days! Four. Do you know how many that is? How many paws do you have? How many claws to a paw? It was as frustrating as seeing a big fat ugly tomcat in your yard but being trapped inside. They did, of course, organise someone to come and feed me, but he doesn't stay and talk to me and give me pats and recognise me as queen of the house. So when the humans came home I put my tail in the air and walked off. Aloof, Chenna, that's the way to do it. No need to be biting and hissing. Just play it cool. It words wonders. They know of my displeasure and will have to earn back my favour. I can expect great things!

Did they lock you in or lock you out?

They locked me out. And the cat flap was locked too -- though I usually don't deign to use it anyway. Especially now that little red ratface has found it and tries to go in it. Now it's locked all the time! Dogs!

Well, at least you didn't get locked INSIDE for all that time. Which is what sometimes happens to me. Something about a curfew - bah! Although I must admit that E usually arranges for people to open and close the cat door so I can go in and out during the day at least . . .

Yes, I have a curfew too, but I just say, curfew? What curfew? Play dumb. Run and hide when they try to drag you inside. If they use food to tempt you, don't be tempted. Remember the best food is live food that you catch yourself. Much better chance of getting that at night. But do go in if it's cold. Nothing like a nice warm bed to snuggle up in.
